The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for the overall audit of operations and projects/ investments and for reporting of the operating results related to all the Chinese manufacturing subsidiaries. The Operations Supervisor will liaise daily with the Chinese Partners.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES (other responsibilities may be assigned due to organization priorities)

  • Review the planning and execution of all projects, production schedules, investments
    implemented by the local Partner
  • Act as local Representative of Head-Office, monitoring the local Operations and liaising in a positive and effective way with the local Chinese Partner
  • Support operations, as well as in all activities related to project development, process
    improvement, new investments
  • Monitor processes and build a trustworthy target-oriented relationship with local Partner Assess projects’ and resources requirements through estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales
  • Act as local Representative of Head-Office, supporting in the selection and negotiation with suppliers of materials, tools, machinery required by local Operations
  • Interact with local Plant Managers, supervising the implementation of proper procedures      and actions in order to achieve business objectives
  • Identify areas of improvement
  • Perform accurate and prompt reporting to Head-office Management, keeping a smooth
  • communication with CEO and giving valuable inputs to Commercial department as well as to all the organization

 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

 

  • University Degree in Industrial Engineering. MBA is valuable.
  • Proven experience working in a Chinese industrial subsidiary of a multinational company
  • Previous experience having a responsibility role in an industrial environment (a background in Steel, Heavy Industry, Windmill Towers Manufacturing, Shipbuilding or Boiler making would be ideal)
  • Valuable Know-how: LEAN manufacturing, Chinese Suppliers, IMS, reporting to Executive level
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Working experience with SAP is desirable.
  • Excellent networker and communicator with proven interpersonal skills
  • Trustworthy person, able to achieve business objective autonomously and under pressure Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Spanish and Chinese is highly valuable

 

This position is based in Shandong, China. National & international (Asia & Europe) travels are required.
