Basic Purpose/Function:

  1. The IT Engineer task is to integrate in our cross-functional team which forms an interface between headquarter/regional corporate IT and local users and suppliers.
  2. The IT Engineer will be a technical dashboard to support around STCN employees who located more than 20 cities within China(either office based or home based) He/she is required to provide on time delivery of trouble shooting both for English speaking employees and non-English speaking employees now and in future.
  3. The Role will support Sales / Marketing and Distributors in China and will respond to internal and external IT technical queries, which may including improvement of sales relative information system.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Plan, prioritize and manage IT support and maintenance activities to ensure that organization’s information systems function reliably and that IT resources are used effectively.
  • Liaise with functional or operational area managers to understand their current and future information needs and determine how information systems should be installed, configured, and maintained to best meet these needs, in alignment with corporate IT departments in Headquaters.
  • Evaluate and coordinate IT Suppliers and external IT support staff to ensure that the organization's information systems are supported effectively and within budget.
  • Provide on-site IT compliance and usage training to local staff and regional staff when necessary
  • Be reasonable to execute global IT program in China.
  • IT Service Desk / Single Point of Contact for China
  • Responsible for all China Incident-, Problem-, and Change Management Processes
  • Substitute of Japan and Korean Service Desk
  • Ticketing with service management tool, dispatching to 2nd Level Support in HQ
  • Install Notebooks, Desktops, Software and Printers with global software distribution
  • Install and manage mobile devices (eg. iPhones, iPads)
  • User Management with Identity and Access Management plattform
  • Interface to Global IT Service Desk / 2nd Level Support at HQ
  • Troubleshooting network, server hardware, client-infrastructure in collaboration with corporate IT.
  • Project assistance e.g. server-infrastructure replacement, global software rollouts
  • Ensures that China technical infrastructure (network, servers, client infrastructure, telephone system, and technical facilities) is properly maintained, supported and documented, in cooperation with internal and external partners.
  • Responsible for local ISP’s (Evaluation, budget and cost control)
  • Monitoring and escalation of IT-Services
  • Maintaining knowledge bases and training manuals

Required Skills or Abilities:

Background and Skill

 

  • University degree in Computer Science or related engineering.
  • 3+ years related working experience. Broad knowledge of various IT software and hardware especially on Windows 7 operating systems, MS Office 2010, Lotus Notes, SAP, etc.
  • High initiative with good self motivation and independence.
  • Outstanding analytical skills.
  • Good English oral and written communication skills preferred.
