Since the official release of 2015 Recruitment Insider Survey, a lot of interesting findings have caught the attention from the media. Last week, CEO & Founder of RMG Selection, Robert Parkinson was interviewed by Sophie Williams, hostess from the Beijing Hour (the most popular news program of China Radio International). During the interview, Robert briefly introduced the hiring trend in different sectors.

There is rising demand for talent in China

It is shown in the survey that human resource managers are seeing rising demand for talent in China. 91.8% companies had new position openings in the first quarter. Robert explained that quarterly survey “Recruitment Insider” is suggesting the state-owned enterprise sector is recruiting the most new hires on a sector-by-sector basis. The machinery, IT and legal sectors are also seeing significant growth in new hiring through the first quarter.

Salary increase is not high as expected

However, the same survey also suggests salary increases aren’t as high as was expected. The majority of companies can only offer less than 10% salary increase. It was shown in the survey that multinational corporations (non-Europe & America) take care of their talent the best in payment. 71% employees got 5% to 30% salary increase.
